LISBON

Departure to Belém district to see the monuments that pay tribute to the Portuguese golden era of the Discoveries: Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries, Monastery of Jerónimos. Visit to the National Coaches Museum, containing one of the most important and richest collections of coaches in the world. We will them immerse into old Lisbon, Alfama. Afternoon free. LISBON / SINTRA / CASAS / ESTORIL / LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel.The following are suggestions of sightseeing options for today. Depart the hotelan drive towards Sintra, a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the charms and history of the town that enchanted kings and poets. Visit to the romantic Pena Palace or Sintra’s Royal Palace (Subject to availability). If the weather allows, stop at the western point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. On the way to Cascais along the coast, be dazzled by the seascape. In Estoril, the place where Ian Fleming got inspired for the James Bond movies, we highlight the gardens of the Casino. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.Breakfast included -
DAY 4
LSBON / FATIMA / PORTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, drive to Fátima, where the Blessed Mother appeared in 1917 to three simple little shepherds. The following are suggestions of sites to see today. Visit the holy places at the Shrine of Fatima, including the Basilica and the Chapel of the Apparitions (Capelinha). Continue to Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared in August 1917 after the children were released from prison and Aljustrel. Continue on to Porto, the 2nd largest city in Portugal. Built on the right bank of Douro, Porto offers the contrasts of a city that is both ancient and modern. Visit of its highlights and the typical quarters, with its Baroque churches, the elegant metal bridges, and the wine cellars. Walk through the picturesque Ribeira district, the historic heart of Porto (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The visit ends in the other bank of River Douro, in Gaia, with a visit to a typical cellar with tasting of the famous Port wine (included in tour price). Overnight in Porto.Breakfast included -
DAY 5
DOURO VALLEY
Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day tour around Douro Valley, the first wine region in the world to be demarcated. UNESCO’s World Heritage site since 2001, Douro is well known by its landscape, fulfilled of vineyards, culture and natural beauty. Start with the charming town of Amarante, which stands on either side of the Tâmega River. Continue to Peso da Régua, capital of the Port wine region. The city played and still plays an important role in the production and sale of Port wine. Return to Porto for overnight.Breakfast included -
