Madeira & Lisbon starts in Madeira daily

  • DAY 1

    FUNCHAL, MADEIRA

    Arrival at Funchal, Madeira.Rest of the day free. Overnight in Funchal.

  • DAY 2

    FUNCHAL, MADEIRA WEST

    Depart and pass through the traditional fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Our drive continues to Cabo Girão, the second highest sea cliff in the world. We make our way to São Vicente and the village of Porto Moniz, with time to admire the amazing volcanic swimming pools. After lunch, we traverse Madeira's highest plateau and drive to Paul da Serra. Overnight in Funchal.

  • DAY 3

    FUNCHAL, MADEIRA EAST

    Depart for a full day tour. First to the Pico do Arieiro mountain, the third highest peak on the island. Head down to the coast to the very eastern point for views of the north and south coasts in one panoramic vista. On to Ribeiro Frio, Ponta de São Lourenço and Machico. Overnight Funchal.

  • DAY 4

    FUNCHAL: CURRAL DE FREIRAS

    Journey to the center of Madeira Island, where cloud-topped mountains descend into verdant valleys. We make our way up to Eira do Serrado, then down to the Nuns Valley, to enjoy the countryside. The village is very isolated, and locals mainly live off what they cultivate. Next stop is the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, where Winston Churchill spent his time painting his beautiful landscapes. Overnight in Funchal.

    FUNCHAL / LISBON

    Check out and depart for the airport for your flight to Lisbon. Arrive in Lisbon for overnight.

  • DAY 6

    LISBON / SINTRA / CASCAIS / ESTORIL / LISBON

    Depart to Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit to Sintra’s Royal Palace. If the weather allows, we will stop at the western point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. On to Cascais, along the coast. In Estoril, we highlight the gardens of the Casino. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.

    LISBON

    Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Transfer to the airport.
