On to Florence, visit the market of San Lorenzo and taste varieties of local cheeses and fruits. Continue on one of the most famous cities in the world and the cradle of the Italian Renaissance.   • DAY 1, FRI

    ROME

    Arrival in Rome. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Early this afternoon, meet your Tour Director and your fellow travelers. Later, enjoy a walking tour of the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the Baroque quarter. Finish the day with a tasty dinner at a local restaurant.

    ROME

    This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Vatican City for a guided tour of the Museum and Sistine Chapel. Discover all masterpieces of Greek and Roman ancient art, works of Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio. Afternoon at leisure. In the early evening, dive into the secrets of pasta making in a cooking class with a local chef. Afterwards, dust the flour from your fingertips and cleanse your palette with the perfect wine while you sit down to enjoy your meal.

    ROME

    Day at leisure to discover this Eternal City on your own. You may decide to join an optional tour to Naples and Pompeii.

    ROME / SIENA / FLORENCE

    After breakfast depart via high speed train to Florence. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. In the early afternoon, enjoy a visit to two of Tuscany’s beautiful hillside towns – Montepulciano and Montalcino. In Montepulciano, you will meet your guide for a walking tour of the town. Afterwards, we will make our way to Montalcino for a wine tasting and lunch. Late arrival in Florence for overnight.

    FLORENCE

    This morning, visit the market of San Lorenzo and taste varieties of local cheeses and fruits. In the afternoon visit one of the most famous cities in the world and the cradle of the Italian Renaissance. Your visit includes the Accademia and Michelangelo's David, Piazza Della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo with Giotto's Bell Tower and Ponte Vecchio.

    FLORENCE

    Day at leisure to explore this magnificent city on your own. You may decide to join an optional tour to Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera. Cinque Terre is the name of the district that encompasses five small villages with wild nature, vineyards, olive groves and citrus orchards.

    FLORENCE / VENICE

    After breakfast, board your high-speed train to Venice. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Venice on your own.

    VENICE

    Start your day early with a guided tour of Venice, taking you to the main sights of the city, followed by a 30-minute Gondola ride. After a break for lunch, you'll meet again in St. Mark's Square and stroll into St. Mark's Basilica. Learn how a Byzantine-style building became Venice's most significant landmark while pointing out some of the more remarkable stories featured in the golden mosaics that cover the ceilings. Finally, enter the Doge's Palace, once the political nerve center for an empire stretched across the Mediterranean and Asia. In this building, the Doge, or Duke of Venice, lived where he lorded over an empire of immense wealth but almost no actual land. In the end, return to your hotel on your own. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner in a lovely restaurant. Overnight in Venice.

PASSPORT/VISA: (It is recommended that your passport have at least six months of validity whenever you travel abroad to avoid unintended travel disruptions. Because rules and regulations frequently change, please inquire about passports validity and visas from the consulate of the foreign country you will visit. CURRENCY: (The unit of currency is the Euro. Coinage is available in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents with 1 and 2 Euros. Bank notes come in units of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Euros. We suggest you exchange your money in a bank, as opposed to the hotel, in order to get the best exchange rate. Banks are open from 8am to 1:30pm and 3:00-4:00pm from Monday to Friday.) 
ELECTRICAL CURRENT: (The voltage may vary from 125 to 220 in the cities. It is best to travel with dual current appliances with plug adapters.)
