TOUR OVERVIEW

This 9-day guided tour introduces travelers to some of Italy’s most famous cultural and historical destinations, focusing on three major cities—Rome, Florence, and Venice—while also including excursions to charming towns in the Tuscan countryside. In Rome, you will visit iconic landmarks and explore Vatican City, including the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. The tour then continues to Florence, the center of Renaissance art, where visitors see famous sites and artworks such as David and take day trips to the historic towns of Siena and San Gimignano. The journey ends in Venice with guided visits to landmarks like St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace. The Italian Classics provides a well-rounded introduction to Italy’s art, history, culture, and cuisine while allowing travelers to experience some of the country’s most iconic destinations.

  • DAY 1

    ROME

    Welcome to Rome! Meet your driver at the airport and enjoy your included transfer to the hotel. Get acquainted with Rome on the hop-on / hop-off tour. Ride the open-top panoramic bus to admire Rome's landmarks with audio commentary. Hop on and off at your leisure across eight stops. It is a perfect way to explore the Eternal City independently. Overnight stay in Rome.

  • DAY 2

    ROME / ASSISI / SIENA / FLORENCE

    After breakfast depart by deluxe coach to Assisi, a medieval town surrounded by ancient walls. Visit the Basilica of St. Francis, featuring frescoes by Giotto and Cimabue and enjoy a lunch in Assis. Continue to Siena, UNESCO listed and famous for its shell-shaped Piazza del Campo and Palio horse race. Later, travel through Tuscany's countryside to reach Florence. Check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Florence.

    FLORENCE

    Explore Florence, cradle of the Renaissance. Visit the Duomo, Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower, and Baptistery. See Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Santa Croce Basilica. Enjoy lunch in a traditional Tuscan restaurant. In the afternoon, choose between free time in the city or an optional visit to Pisa, with its Leaning Tower and Piazza dei Miracoli.     FLORENCE / BOLOGNA / VENICE

    ROME

    Begin your morning with an included "Skip the Line" tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Square. Discover the Galleries of Tapestries and Maps, Raphael's Rooms, and Michelangelo's masterpiece in the Sistine Chapel. The visit ends in St. Peter's Square, where you can view the Basilica's majestic exterior. Spend the rest of the day at your own pace or join an optional tour. Overnight stay in Rome.

CURRENCY: (The unit of currency is the Euro. Coinage is available in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents with 1 and 2 Euros. Bank notes come in units of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Euros. We suggest you exchange your money in a bank, as opposed to the hotel, in order to get the best exchange rate. Banks are open from 8am to 1:30pm and 3:00-4:00pm from Monday to Friday.)
