Itinerary

Azores & Lisbon starts in Sao Miguel-Ponta Delgada daily

  • DAY 1

    SAO MIGUEL: PONTA DELGADA

    Arrival at Ponta Delgada. Assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free. Overnight in Ponta Delgada.

  • DAY 2

    SAO MIGUEL: HALF DAY SETE CIDADES & PINEAPPLE PLANTATION

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today, tour the Western side of the island and São Miguel’s highlights, the crater lake of Sete Cidades! Return to Ponta Delgada. Afternoon free. Overnight in Ponta Delgada.

  • DAY 3

    SAO MIGUEL - FULL DAY FURNAS

    Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Furnas Valley. Option of a thermal bath; choose to visit the botanical garden terra nostra and enjoy the pool and Jacuzzis or relax in the natural pools of Poça da Dona Beija (entrance fees of both places are not included). Lunch, served in a local famous restaurant, "Cozido das Caldeiras". Descent to the north side of the island, with a visit to the Gorreana tea plantations, with the possibility of tasting and buying tea. Return to Ponta Delgada with a stop at the Santa Iria Belvedere. Return to Ponta Delgada for overnight.

  • DAY 4

    SAO MIGUEL - FULL DAY NORDESTE

    Departure on the north coast to one of Nordeste´s highlights – The Natural Park of Ribeira dos Caldeirões, where waterfalls and windmills are to be seen. The Tour continues across Nordeste village, Ponta do Arnel, and Ponta do Sossego e Ponta da Madrugada. A picnic lunch will be served. Return to Ponta Delgada for overnight.

  • DAY 5

    SAO MIGUEL - HALF DAY LAGOA DO FOGO & RIBEIRA GRANDE

    Today, head to the northern coast to visit the city of Ribeira Grande and its baroque architecture of the 17th and 18th century buildings. Before leaving the city, we will stop to enjoy a beautiful volcanic sand beach. Next, a visit to the Hot Spring of Ribeira Grande. On to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal -the Lagoa do Fogo. Overnight in Ponta Delgada.

  • DAY 6

    SAO MIGUEL- PONTA DELGADA / LISBON

    Check out and depart for the Ponta Delgada airport. Arrive in Lisbon. Rest of the day free. Overnight in Lisbon.

  • DAY 7

    LISBON

    Departure to Belém district to see: Belém Tower (glimpse), Monument to the Discoveries (glimpse), Monastery of Jerónimos (visit the church), National Coaches Museum (visit). We will then immerse into the old Lisbon, Alfama. Afternoon free.

  • DAY 8

    LISBON / SINTRA / CASCAIS / ESTORIL / LISBON

    Depart to Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit to Sintra’s Royal Palace. If the weather allows, we will stop at the western point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. On to Cascais, along the coast. In Estoril, we highlight the gardens of the Casino. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Lisbon.

    LISBON

    Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Transfer to the airport.

Set in Lisbon´s Baixa Pombalina district, this 4-star hotel features a terrace with panoramic city views. It is a 2-minute walk from Rossio Square and offers free on-site private parking. Rooms at the Hotel Mundial have air conditioning and traditional-style furnishings. They come equipped with satellite TV and a minibar. The private bathrooms include a bathrobe and hairdryer. The Veranda de Lisboa Restaurant offers local cuisine as well as panoramic views of Lisbon from the 8th floor.
