    SARAJEVO / DUBROVNIK

    Sarajvo has been influenced by a number of cultures and civilizations duringits long history. On our city tour we visit the picturesque Turkish Bazaar "Bas Carsija", Husref Bay's Mosque, the Olympic Stadium and Gavrilo Princip Museum. We continue through the mountains and along the gorge of the Neretva River to Mostar. Travel on to picturesque Dubrovnik.

    DUBROVNIK

    Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Today, your guided walking tour of "Old Dubrovnik" includes the Rector's Palace, Bell Tower Clock, Orlando's Column and the Sponza Palace. You will also see the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. Next, you visit a local artisan to learn about the traditional craftsmanship that still thrives here today. The rest of the day is at leisure. (Optional: Home-Hosted Dinner)

    DUBROVNIK / MONTENEGRO / DUBROVNIK

    Today, we travel to the Republic of Montenegro, more specifically to the mouth of the beautiful Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe. Enjoy a boat ride to the islet of Our Lady of the Rocks. Stop in Perast and the city of Kotor before returning to Dubrovnik. The evening is free. (Optional: Home-Hosted Dinner)

    DUBROVNIK / SPLIT

    After breakfast, depart Dubrovnik and travel north to Split. Enjoy a city tour featuring the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter's Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. After the tour, we enjoy some olive oil tasting. The rest of the day is at leisure.

    SPLIT / TROGIR / PLITVICE LAKES

    This morning, we travel to Trogir, the center of artistic activities in Croatia. Scholars from around the world gather to study and paint here. Then travel to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Tonight enjoy dinner at your hotel.

    PLITVICE LAKES

    Today, enjoy a full day in Plitvice National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the breathtaking scenery of the natural wonder with 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner at your hotel.

  • DAY 10, WED

    PLITVICE LAKES / OPATIJA / POSTOJNA / BLED

    After breakfast, travel to the beautiful bay of Kvarner and its popular resort of Opatija. An orientation tour of Opatija will preset the highlights of this former resort city. Drive into Slovenia and Postojna Caves, home to one of the largest caves in Europe. Tour the fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Continue to Bled, beautifully set in the Julian Alps.

    BLED / LJUBLJANA / BLED

    After breakfast enjoy a city tour of the charming town of Bled and the lakeshore and visit Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. Continue your sightseeing to Ljubljana, visiting the open-air Central Market, Baroque Town Hall, Robba's Fountain, the Three Bridges and the Parliament. Return to Bled for overnight. (Optional: Traditional Dinner at the Country Inn)

    BLED / TRIESTE / VENICE

    After breakfast travel south to Trieste for an orientation tour and visit to Miramare Castle and its park. The castle was built by the Habsburg monarchy on a cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Then continue on to the marvelous city of Venice. (Optional: Pub Crawl "Venetian Style")

    VENICE

    Today, begin with a walking tour of Venice featuring the major highlights: St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Bell Tower and the Bridge of Sighs. During our tour we stop for a tasting of the typical Venetian aperitif called Spritz. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy Venice on your own. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.
