Lefkosia is a bustling European city offering excellent shopping to visitors. An optional visit to the Archaeological Museum will provide insight into the islands’ rich 9.000 year history. The tour then continues by Venetian wall, the gate of Famagusta and the monument of Freedom. Continue on to the picturesque village of Lefkara known worldwide for its lace and silverware.
During your time in Pafos, make sure to admire the famous mosaics at the house of Dionysus, pass the ruined castle of Forty Columns and the Aposle Paul’s Pillar, where the Apostle is said to have been flogged when he and Barnabas brought Christianity to the island.
While in Cyprus it is important to try the traditional meal, ‘meze’, and make sure to sample one of the many outstanding varieties of Cypriot wine.
