Day 11, Sat: MASSADA/ DEAD SEA:
Depart Tel Aviv via the Judean hills to the Dead Sea and Masada. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod. Continue to the Dead Sea. Enjoy the unique opportunity to swim and float in the Dead Sea. Return to your hotel for overnight. Note: This full day tour can be substituted with a tour to Nazareth and Tiberius or a tour to Caesarea, Haifa Acre and Rosh Hanikra. Please inquire. (B)
Day 12, Sun: TEL AVIV:
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport. (B)
Day 1, Wed: ATHENS:
Upon arrival in Athens you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2, Thu: ATHENS:
Morning half day sightseeing tour of Athens. Visits include the Acropolis and its museum, the Panathenaikon Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896, and much more. The afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Day 3, Fri: ATHENS/ PIRAEUS/ MYKONOS:
After breakfast you will be transferred to the port to board your 3-night cruise to the Greek Islands & Turkey. Your first port of call is Mykonos. Enjoy the whitewashed houses and the picturesque windmills. (B,L,D)
Day 4, Sat: KUSADASI/ PATMOS:
Arrive in Kusadasi. Drive to ancient city of Ephesus and visit one of the world’s largest open air archaeological museums. Then on to Patmos where you can take an optional excursion to the Monastery and Cave where John the Divine wrote the Book of Revelation. (B,L,D)
Day 5, Sun: HERAKLION/ SANTORINI:
Arrive in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Visit the Palace of Minos at Knossos, the center of the Minoan civilization. Sail on to Santorini, the volcano island, one of the most unforgettable places in the world. Visit the beautiful village of Oia, perched on the rim of the caldera offering panoramic views of breathtaking beauty. (B,L,D)
Day 6, Mon: PIRAEUS/ CAIRO:
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)
Day 7, Tue: CAIRO:
After breakfast begin your full day tour, visiting the Egyptian Museum, home of the world’s greatest collections of antiquities from the Pharaonic period. Continue your sightseeing to the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. Visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar before returning to your hotel. (B,L)
Day 8, Wed: CAIRO:
A full day at leisure in Cairo, or you may wish to join one of the optional tours listed on this page. (B)
Day 9, Thu: CAIRO/ TEL AVIV:
After breakfast this morning transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival in Tel Aviv you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remaining of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 10, Fri: JERUSALEM/ BETHLEHEM:
After breakfast drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Stop at Mount Zion to visit King David’s Tomb, Room of Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey. Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Waling Wall, the Kotel and continue to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continue to Bethlehem* and visit the Church of Nativity. Drive back to Tel Aviv. Note: Modest dress (no shorts or sleeveless shirts) and head covering are required for visiting holy sites. *You must carry your passport on this day. Note this full day tour can be substituted with a Jerusalem tour that visits Jerusalem’s New City (Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, Holocaust memorial) instead of Bethlehem. Please inquire. (B)
