day 2: amman /bethany / dead sea /amman |
|
After breakfast begin your visit of the ancient and modern city of Amman, originally built on seven hills. Discover the Citadel situated on one of the highest hills and have a splendid view of the old city; Temple of Hercules, Omayyad Palace, Byzantine Church and the Archaeological Museum. Drive to Bethany, the baptism site of Jesus Christ and continue to the hotel in Amman. (B,D) |

day 3: amman /jerash/ um qais / ajloun / amman |
|
After breakfast, drive north of Amman to Jerash, a beautiful and one of the best preserved Greco-Roman cities in the world. Continue to Um Qais, to visit the ancient Greco-Roman city of Gadara, and drive to Ajloun to visit the 12 th century castle, a very important Arab castle in the battle against the Crusaders. (B,D) |

day 4: mt nebo /madaba /kerak /petra |
|
After breakfast drive to Mount Nebo, the alleged burial site of Moses, with its spectacular view of the Holy Land. Visit Madaba, home of the most famous Byzantine mosaics and continue to Kerak to visit the Crusader Castle dating back to the 12th century AD. Proceed to the ancient city of Petra.

After breakfast visit the fascinating city of Petra "The Rose City", which was built by the Nabateans 2000 years ago, who hewed their monumental tombs, palaces, temples and treasury from the desert rocks sandstone in its natural hues of rose and gold. (B,D) |

day 6: petra /wadi rUm /amman |
|
After breakfast drive to the Natural Resort of Wadi Rum desert, also known as "The Valley of the Moon" for its awesome moonlike landscape. Bedouin 4 x 4 vehicles will be ready at the camp to start a 2 hour drive in the desert. Return to Amman for overnight or you may choose to spend the night at a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum. (B,D) |
