DAY 1, FRI: ROME
Arrival in Rome. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the evening meet your Tour Director for an orientation of the tour.
DAY 2, SAT: ROME
This morning transfer to the Vatican for a guided tour of the Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Discover the masterpieces of Greek and Roman ancient art, works of Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio. Entrance fees included. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)
DAY 3, SUN: ROME
The morning is at leisure to explore this city on your own. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Ancient Rome including the Colosseum. Entrance fees included. Tonight enjoy a great dinner served in a local traditional Roman Trattoria. (B,D)
DAY 4, MON: ROME / POMPEII / SORRENTO
This morning after breakfast depart for Pompeii and visit the ruins destroyed 2000 years ago by the eruption of Vesuvius. Entrance fees included. Continue to Sorrento and enjoy a tasteful lunch at a typical Trattoria, followed by a walking tour of this charming town. Tonight dinner will be served at a local restaurant in the heart of Sorrento. DAY 5, TUE: SORRENTO / CAPRI / SORRENTO
Today visit the picturesque island of Capri, a favorite to Roman Emperors, rich and famous artists and writers. Return to Sorrento for overnight. (B)
DAY 6, WED: SORRENTO
The day is at leisure to explore this picturesque town on your own. Sorrento is the ideal location to discover the beauty of the region. (B)
DAY 7, THU: AMALFI COAST
Today enjoy a scenic drive of the breathtaking Amalfi Coast to the picturesque town of Positano and Amalfi. Return to Sorrento for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
DAY 8, FRI: SORRENTO
After breakfast transfer to Naples railway station or airport. (B)
