DAY 1, FRI - ATHENS:
Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 2, SAT - ATHENS:
After breakfast, enjoy a half day city tour of Athens. Visit the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, the Panathenaikon Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896 and much more. Afternoon at leisure or visit Plaka, the old city of Athens at the foot of the Acropolis. (B)
DAY 3, SUN - ATHENS:
Free day. Today you may watch the Changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier or you may take an optional excursion to Delphi or to Cape Sounion. (B)
DAY 4, MON - ATHENS / PIRAEUS / MYKONOS:
After breakfast transfer to Piraeus to board the 4-night cruise. Arrive in the white-washed island of Mykonos, known for its hundreds of chapels that dot the island, in the late afternoon. (B,L,D)
DAY 5, TUE - KUSADASI / PATMOS:
Arrive in Kusadasi where you can take an optional excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus. Then on to Patmos, the island where St. John the Divine wrote the Book of Revelation. The optional excursion will take you to the Monastery and Cave. (B,L,D)
DAY 6, WED - RHODES:
The next port-of-call is Rhodes where you'll spend the full day. You will enjoy the optional excursion to the city of Rhodes and the rocky Acropolis of Lindos. (B,L,D)
DAY 7, THU - HERAKLION / SANTORINI:
Arrive in Heraklion, the capital city of Crete. Take an optional excursion to the Palace of King Minos at Knossos, the center of the Minoan Civilization. Sail on to Santorini, the volcano island, one of the most unforgettable places in the world. Walk along the narrow streets of the town of Thera or visit the beautiful village of Oia, perched on the rim of the caldera offering panoramic views of breathtaking beauty. (B,L,D)
DAY 8, FRI - PIRAEUS / ISTANBUL:
Disembark after breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)
DAY 9, SAT - ISTANBUL:
This morning, enjoy a city tour of Istanbul. Visit Hagia Sophia Church, now a museum, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, the Topkapi Palace and finish with a shopping spree at the Grand Bazaar. (B,L)
DAY 10, SUN - ISTANBUL / CAPPADOCIA:
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir airports. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel in Cappadocia. (B,D)
DAY 11, MON - CAPPADOCIA:
Today you will have your first meeting with the lunar landscape of Cappadocia. Admire the rock formations in Devrent Valley and the 'fairy chimneys' in Pasabag. Continue to the Goreme Open-Air Museum to view the rock-cut churches decorated with frescoes. Continue to the subterranean city of Kaymakli, built in the 7th century by Christians. (B,L,D)
DAY 12, TUE - CAPPADOCIA / ISTANBUL:
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. (B)
DAY 13, WED - ISTANBUL / USA:
Today you will be transferred to the airport in Istanbul for your return flight.
