Day 1, Sun: Athens:
Upon arrival in Athens, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2, Mon: Athens / Mycenae / Olympia:
Today begin your Classical Tour of Greece. Millenniums of history unfold as you visit the archaeological sites of Mycenae and Epidaurus. Drive on to Olympia for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 3, Tue: Olympia / Delphi:
Morning visit of the ancient site of Olympia, site of the ancient Olympic Games and its museum. Drive via Patras and Rion to Delphi for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 4, Wed: Delphi / Athens:
Morning visit of the archaeological site of Delphi, including the Temple of Apollo and its museum. Evening return to Athens for overnight. (B)
Day 5, Thu- Athens:
Morning sightseeing tour of Athens including the Acropolis. Spend the afternoon at leisure or take an optional tour to Cape Sounion. (B)
Morning at leisure in Athens for your last minute shopping. Late afternoon transfer to Lavrion to board your 7-day cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey. Tonight you will enjoy the shipboard activities. (B,D)
Day 7, Sat: SANTORINI:
You will spend the majority of today in Santorini, the volcano island, one of the most unforgettable places in the world. A visit to the beautiful village of Oia, perched on the rim of the caldera offering panoramic views of breathtaking beauty, is included. You will have time to walk the narrow streets of the town of Thira before you sail to your next destination. (B,L,D)
Day 8, Sun: IZMIR:
Morning arrival in Izmir, the second largest port in Turkey, also known as Smyrna. Drive to ancient Ephesus and visit one of the world's largest open air archaeological museums. (B,L,D)
Day 9, Mon: NAFPLION:
Today you will spend the day in Nafplion. Take a stroll thru the narrow streets and lovely squares of the old town. Admire the historical buildings or visit the archaeological museum on your own. Enjoy waterfront views of the small island fortress the Castle of Bourtzi located in the middle of the harbor or visit the Palamidi Fortress on the hilltop overlooking the city. (B,L,D)
Day 10, Tue: Crete (CHANIA):
Today you will visit the charming city of Chania. take a drive along the coastal highway to Kournas Lake and enjoy the relaxing and beautiful scenery. Continue to Rethymnon city famous for its medieval architecture and lovely Venetian Port. After a quick stop at a local Olive Oil production site we get a glimpse of traditional Cretan folklore dancing routine before returning to the ship. (B,L,D)
Day 11, Wed: RHODES:
Arrive in the island of Rhodes this morning, one of the best preserved medieval towns in the world and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites. Visit the rocky Acropolis of Lindos and the Citadel of the Knights. (B,L,D)
Day 12, Thu: CESME / MYKONOS:
This morning visit Cesme known for its beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear water. You may choose to visit the medieval Cesme Castle local Cesme attraction which now houses two historic museums on your own. In the afternoon sail on to Mykonos where you will enjoy the whitewashed houses, picturesque windmills and lively town with its many restaurants and chic boutiques. (B,L,D)
Day 13, Fri: LAVRION / ATHENS:
Return to Lavrion (approximately 9 am at port). Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Athens airport. (B)
